Aaaaah LOVE. It's the week for it. Valentine's Day is looming over us (there's your official reminder now) and it's all getting very romantic on the Breakfast Show. We've got a two night stay in the stunning Wineport Lodge up for grabs every day and this morning, all the winner had to do was complete this simple sentence.....
'I knew I loved her/him when......'
Well, all the romantics came out of the woodwork and honestly, Mairead and Shauna were nearly in tears reading them all. They were all lovely in their own way, some very romantic and others….well, hilarious. Love comes in many forms.
- I knew I loved her when after a night out on the way home in the back of the taxi she felt sick. The taxi hadn't time to pull over and I had to catch it in my hands. Now that's true love, true story. She's now my wife.
- I knew I loved her when she bought me a six pack of Heineken when I arrived to collect her for the 2nd year college ball.
- I knew he loved me when he drunkenly walked 2 miles to my house at midnight in the snow on our first Christmas Eve to wish me Happy Christmas.
- I knew I loved her when she picked me up from the pub and she had a spice bag for me!
- I knew I loved him when he did his version of the Riverdance down the aisle of a bus!
- I knew he loved me when he held my hair back while I got sick from a really bad hangover.
- I knew I loved her when I saw her knock back her Guinness in one go.
- I knew I loved him when we spent the night covered in smelly beach coats in his Cinquecento when we were locked out of his house.
- I loved her even when she came to the door with Sudocrem on her face
- I knew I loved her when I handed her the toilet roll when she had the runs
- I knew I loved her when she even kissed me with my split lip from a hurling match on our first date
- I knew it when we went to the GAa field for a few pucks on our first date and then she beat me at crossbar challenge.
