Jessie Buckley, from Killarney in Co. Kerry, wowed audiences with her performance in 'Wild Rose' earlier this year and she was so impressive that Variety think she could be a real contender for an Oscar.

ACADEMY AWARDS 2020

The Hollywood magazine have chosen some of their early tips for the 2020 Oscars and Jessie has been given the nod. Whilst it's early days, they say that her performance as a young mother with big dreams in 'Wild Rose' stands out and that she is 'endlessly charismatic'.
