The 2016 Brit Awards received almost 150 complaints to Ofcom from viewers who objected to Adele's swearing, Rihanna's grinding all up in Drake's grill - and a woman in a see-through leotard. Every year. Every year!
Some of the girls from Little Mix aren’t having a great week, despite their brilliant performance at the Brits (I wouldn’t consider myself a Little Mix fan, but really enjoyed Black Magic at the Brits. Because I was there, at the Brits. Did I not mention it? I was at the Brit Awards).
Jesy Nelson received cruel taunts on Twitter about her outfit. Some of the taunts were particularly hurtful about her weight – I saw them sing and dance live and I remember thinking how amazing they all looked. It’s ok not to be an absolute waif!
Perry Edwards then burned her hand quite badly while trying to fix her boiler – she uploaded a photo to her Instagram, warning about the dangers of fire. While the message was perhaps slightly condescending, her poor hand does look like it’s in a great deal of pain.
Irish documentary Older Than Ireland has secured a cinema release in both the US and Canada between March and April this year!
Originally released last year, Older Than Ireland tells the story of a hundred years of a life as seen through the eyes of thirty Irish centenarians. If you can get through it without shedding a tear, good luck. The old man (104) gets on a bus and goes to Tesco to buy his food, gets back on the bus to go home and make his porridge on his own. I lasted ten minutes.
