Although 2016 was the year she wanted to chill out, Miley Cyrus will be returning to her acting roots after receiving an offer she couldn’t turn down. Woody Allen has cast her as lead in his new series which will be streamed on Amazon. The 6 part series will be written and directed by Allen and will be set in the 1960s. It’s definitely going to be a little bit more high brow than some of her other work *cough* Hannah Montana…

Ellie Goulding had a very frightening near miss when travelling through Norway recently after the vehicle she was travelling in crashed through the ice on a frozen lake. Although it happened a number of weeks ago, Ellie only shared the picture with her followers yesterday which showed her vehicle partially submerged in a very cold looking lake. She was on tour and travelling with photographer Conor McDonnell when they came into trouble, having to make an emergency escape through the sunroof of the vehicle was soon fully underneath the water and ice completely. Pretty scary stuff.

Brendan O’Carroll was touring in Australia with Mrs Brown when he heard the tragic story of young mum Sarah Paino who tragically died in a car accident at 32 weeks pregnant. Amazingly, her unborn baby Caleb survived labour and is in a stable condition. Brendan was doing an interview on Australian TV when he saw the news story and was so touched by it that he offered to donate $50,000 to her family. Sound man.
