It seems Arcade Fire have released an album that is splitting opinion. Or perhaps it was the really irritating marketing that lead to the divide of opinion, either way the album is not doing well amongst critics.
When I first heard 'Everything Now' there was a worry the band had finally followed the disco rabbit down the burrow and were never coming back.
Wyn Butler is being ridiculed for his rap on 'Signs of Life', but this track is my favourite on the album. Having said that, the album doesn't have any real continuity and is possibly the result of the band living in an echo chamber of hipsterdom. Doomed to be so 'right on', that it could never be quite right?
