Primary schools across Ireland are being invited to showcase the difference they are making in their schools and communities through recycling as part of the newly launched Re-turn Awards.
More than 700 primary schools have already signed up to take part in Re-turn’s community initiative. Now, the Re-turn Awards aim to champion the creativity, teamwork and community spirit behind these initiatives.
Chance To Win €5,000
Primary schools that are collecting cans and bottles through the Deposit Return Scheme can enter the awards by sharing their story and explaining how they are “Re-turning It Right” in their school community. And remember, big ideas matter as much as big numbers! It is not just about how many plastic bottles or cans are Re-turned; it is about the difference they make. Enter today by filling in the online form at re-turn.ie/schoolawards.
Prizes include a National Champion Award of €5,000, along with 15 awards of €1,000 for schools across the country.
Winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony at Croke Park on Wednesday, 3rd June 2026.
Tune into Ian Dempsey from 6am all this week for another opportunity to win big for your school!
