Since his debut was released in 2004, James Blunt has had four number one singles and won countless awards including two BRITs, two Ivor Novello Awards, 5 Grammy nominations and a host of MTV awards. He has sold over 18 million albums worldwide, 20 million singles worldwide and he’s also 20 times platinum in Ireland alone!  

His fourth studio album ‘Moon Landing’ is released this coming Friday and we have 5 copies to give away.

The first single from the album is called ‘Bonfire Heart’. The video shows Blunt travelling across America on a motorbike taking photos of everyday citizens.

James explains the story behind it: “We shot the video throughout Wyoming and Idaho over two days using real characters, and the final scene took place in the car park of a bar, where everyone we'd met on the journey would meet up and we planned to film a wrap party. What we didn't know was that in the bar, a wedding was taking place, and when they saw us arrive, the entire wedding piled out and joined us. I played them all ‘You're Beautiful’ in the car park on my guitar, with the bride and groom pushed to the front by the 80-strong crowd, and then we lit fires and sparklers, put on Bonfire Heart, and the bride and groom had their first dance to it, which we filmed, and which is now the climax of the video. In fact, it stopped being my promo video, and became their wedding video…”

‘Bonfire Heart’ is written by James, with Ryan Tedder (Adele, Beyonce, Maroon 5), who also produced the track.  The rest of the album is produced by Tom Rothrock (Beck, Moby, Foo Fighters), who worked with James on his multi-platinum selling debut ‘Back To Bedlam’, with additional production from Martin Terefe (KT Tunstall, Martha Wainwright, Jason Mraz).
