Beyoncé shocked fans around the world when she released her highly anticipated fifth album, exclusively on iTunes, without any warning or promotion

The self-titled album - and Beyoncé’s first visual album - features 14 songs and 17 videos, including tracks from her husband Jay Z, R&B singer Frank Ocean and rapper Drake. Recording began in summer 2012 and the accompanying videos were shot in her hometown of Houston, New York City and Paris.

Beyoncé said. "I didn't want to release my music the way I've done it, I am bored with that...I just want this to come out when it's ready and from me to my fans." Check out this playlist which features 30-second previews of all 17 new videos:
