We put up a very cryptic Facebook post yesterday evening looking for ladies who'd gotten married in the last few years and we got a MASSIVE response. Nearly 5,000 of you got back to us and were very interested to know what we wanted. We've been trying to personally get in touch with each and every one of you but we don't want to leave you hanging for too long.
So, what's it all about?! Well, we've just launched our new charity initiative which is called 'Dare to Care' and it's following on from the work we did with Shave or Dye. So, the idea behind Dare to Care is that our listeners can get involved and dare our presenters/ their mates and themselves to do different crazy things that will raise much needed funds for the Irish Cancer Society and this is where you come in.
We have a little dare for you...are you up for the challenge?!!
We want you to get involved in something we're organising called 'Wear Your Wedding Dress Wednesday' on Wednesday 21st of September 2016. Basically, we want you to drag that wedding dress out of the back of the press, get it cleaned and wear it again (and get people to sponsor you a few bob to do it to make up for the shame of it all!)
Wear it to work or whatever you'll be doing on Wednesday 21st of Sept. Wear it with pride knowing that you are going to be part of something amazing and raising lots of money for the Irish Cancer Society. Get the ladies in your office involved so you're not alone, get your sisters and friends on board and don't pretend you don't want to put it on again and relieve all those happy memories!
At this stage, we've all seen how cancer affects our friends and family and even if you haven't been touched directly by it, you'll know how important the Irish Cancer Society is to those who are going through it. Help us raise money to fund these important services and do something fun in the process.
