Research shows that 1 in 5 women in Ireland who have been in a relationship have experienced abuse at the hands of a current or former partner, and intimate partner violence affects 30 per cent of women worldwide.
Tom Meagher, whose wife Jill was murdered in Australia 18 months ago, is now national advocate for the White Ribbon Campaign in Ireland: the world’s largest male-led movement to end violence against women.
