Millions of Americans have been watching the first total eclipse of the sun to travel from coast to coast in nearly 100 years.
12 million people live in the 3,200 kilometre-long zone where the moon will block out the sun.

Meanwhile, another phenomenon has happened that most of us thought we'd never see.
Bonnie Tyler is doing a new version of her 80s classic Total Eclipse of the Heart... on a cruise ship... during the total eclipse of the sun.
Bonnie has adapted her hit, and will be singing it on board the Oasis of the Seas in the mid-Atlantic as the moon passes in front of the sun.
Apparently she's had to chop her power ballad down to a mere 2 minutes 40 seconds which is the duration of the solar event.
You can catch the legendary Welsh star's performance via facebook live.
