A British comedian has shown support for International Women’s Day by personally replying to anyone who asked "when is International Men's Day?" on Twitter.
Richard Herring was quick to remind sceptics that Men’s Day falls on November 19.
The comic, used the campaign to raise over €100,000 for domestic violence charity Refuge.
Herring set up a JustGiving page for the proceeds and explained, 'I do this so that everyone else can get on with celebrating International Women's Day and using it to raise awareness of the issues that affect women. And trying to achieve equality.'
Sad to hear you can’t travel in time like me. I am tweeting you from November 19th 2018 where I am drinking beer and celebrating men. But you’ll have to wait, like a non-time travelling klutz. Ha ha ha. https://t.co/qUu8WFxWIw

You’re certainly demonstrating the best of us. And can do so again on November 19th. Will be checking in to see what great things you achieve. https://t.co/foRlh47TrG

If men had an international women day it would be a bit confusing, though not a terrible idea. Their men’s day is November 19th https://t.co/H8TAaJNu8N
