He addressed the crowd at the annual Easter Egg Roll

Donald Trump has struggled to describe the White House - suggesting 'there really is no name for it'.

The US President was hosting the 140th annual Easter Egg Roll at Pennsylvania Avenue.

Thousands of guests, including many children, were invited for a day of family activities.

While addressing the assembled crowd beside his wife Melania and a costumed 'Easter Bunny', Donald Trump didn't quite know how to describe where he lives.

He said: "I want to thank the White House Historical Association and all of the people that work so hard with Melania, with everybody, to keep this incredible house or building, or whatever you want to call it - because there really is no name for it.

"It is special - and we keep it in tip-top shape. We call it sometimes tippy-top shape. And it’s a great, great place."

He also briefly spoke about the economy and military funding before joining kids on the White House lawn for the egg rolling.
