With the Vodafone Comedy Carnival in full swing, and everything in place for a mental bank holiday weekend ahead *WOOP WOOP*, Al couldn't turn down the chance to present a live quiz show from the heart of the action.
The Róisín Dubh venue in Galway City is the place to be right now, as comedians from all around the world grace the event with their presence. With it, flocks of humour seeking revellers hit the west of Ireland to let their hair down and laugh their heads off.
Al did his radio show live from the location today, with an audience of his adoring listeners, and things got loose! He was joined by comedians, and team leaders, Colin Murphy and Jarlath Ryan, with Andrew Maxwell acting as mediator, narrator and all round nuisance (we love ya Andrew). A panel show like no other!
There was all sorts happening - like Al finally meeting his regular listener, and semi-contributor, Jackie, aka "Peggy Mitchell" (who never stops laughing) plus her son "Skits", then there was possibly Ireland's smallest security guard, Lindsey "The Pocket-Monster" Folan, Aishling "The Hand Tattoo" Halloran, and a beautifully raunchy poem written by Limerick lady Deirdre...
A listener wrote a poem just for @TheAlPorter and we love it! #CallMeAl pic.twitter.com/2kOOXAaO2r

But wait - there's MORE!! We cannot forget Tanya who hadn't been out in four years (on a night out that is), The Roscommon man who nearly got arrested on suspicion of stalking The Spice Girls at an airport (well he was following them) and the impressive picture drawn digitally by Ellen from Nelle Illustrations.
- who has also done some work for the Kardashians we'll have you know...
Just look at the incredible digital illustration @Nelle1717 did for @TheAlPorter 🙌 amazing talent #CallMeAl pic.twitter.com/ZBJi0a4V6p

The game show/radio show/madhouse (whatever you wanna call it) had two rounds; the first was an audio one where each team had to guess the theme songs from some classic movies, the second however...well that was something to behold. A marriage of audio and visual wonder as the teams had to compete in a game of 'Twister'...on the radio...
The maddest Twister style quiz to ever take place on national live radio 😂@andrewismaxwell @Jarlath @thatcolinmurphy @TheAlPorter #CallMeAl pic.twitter.com/J8bwK7Y4M0
