Win weekend passes all week from The Paul McLoone Show

The Paul McLoone Show has a pair of weekend passes to be won every night for Forbidden Fruit this June Bank Holiday Weekend.

Following on from First Aid Kit postponing all tour dates for medical reasons, Dublin's finest and show faves Fontaines DC have stepped into the line up for what will be a magical homecoming gig for the band. A considerably bigger stage than last year at Forbidden Fruit which just highlights how quickly the rise of the band has happened.

The line up includes Elbow, Laurent Garnier, Jon Hopkins, Saint Sister, I Have A Tribe, Mura Masa, Julien Baker and so many more. We have made a handy little playlist for you below, featuring acts that we thoroughly recommend.

Also added to the line up are Mathman, Kodu, Malaki and Chaos in the CBD.

Full stage times are here:

A staple in the festival line up, don't miss your chance to soak up the atmosphere and experience some of the very best live music. Join Kelly Anne Byrne as she covers for Paul McLoone all week for your chance to win tickets.

FONTAINES D.C.. have been announced to join our Monday bill.  The Irish band have released four critically acclaimed AA side singles, all of which received considerable support both from radio, the band made the A-list at BBC Radio 6 Music for the single Too Real,  Check out their recent appearance on one of the USA’s most influential TV shows, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where they performed two songs, Liberty Belle and Boys In The Better Land.  With a sell out US tour looming, global touring beckoning, we are thrilled to bring them to Forbidden Fruit for their biggest home show to date.

Perhaps best known for their stratified, ear-catching rhythms, CHAOS IN THE CBD is the house moniker of New Zealand brothers Ben and Louis Helliker-Hales. Though their music evokes the time-honoured heritage of classic house, their interpretation of jazz brings a unique inventiveness to the genre.

West London hailing rapper and singer, LAVA LA RUE is an artist, rapper and founder of @NiNE8COLLECTIVE. She has been making music for the past few years as both herself, and a part of her collective NiNE8. In the past month, she has begun a true journey of creative releases, with her debut single “Widdit” flooring critics, and receiving attention from the likes if I-D Magazine and more. As the founding member of the creative group, 20-year old Lava has curated incredible projects across the worlds of art, music and fashion. Lava is setting the pace, introducing herself to new fans, old fans and critics alike, with lo-fi alternative dreamy hip hop flows and experimental R&B often using a combination of DIY soundscapes with handmade visuals to narrate a tale of inner-city lyricism from a queer female gaze in London’s underground scene.

MATHMAN is one half of the awesome MANGO x MATHMAN duo, that have been getting crowds seriously fired up since they first started taking to the stage and releasing brilliant tracks. When it comes to the freshest hip hop and the best urban sounds, you’d be hard pressed to find someone more knowledgeable than producer MathMan. He was Creative Director of The Story of Hip-Hop with the RTE Concert Orchestra that took the festival world by storm. Expect the best beats and street sounds when he takes to the stage this June Bank holiday.
