Folks, remember it's a marathon, not a sprint.

Don't bet more than you can afford and good luck!

3.40 - Kildare Hunt Club Fr Sean Breen Memorial Chase

The Enda Bolger trained Wish Ye Didnt is the odds on favourite under Nina Carberry.  This is not a race to back in.  I wouldn't back the favourite at those odds, nor would I lay it.  Wish Ye Didnt is only 6 and an improving type for a trainer that has won this race in 4 of the last 5 years.  Of the others, the Peter Maher trained 'Serious Times' makes the most each way appeal. This is another lightly raced type that was running well at the course before falling earlier in the season.

4.20 - Herald Champion Novice Hurdle

Douvan is unbackable here at around 1/5 in the betting.  A winner of the Supreme Novices Hurdle at Cheltenham, the good to yielding ground should be fine for the Willie Mullins trained 5 year old.  If he turns up in good order, he will win, with Sizing John the one for the forecast.

4.55 - Killashee Handicap Hurdle

I recommend a small each way bet on Mr Diablo at 14/1. There has been a bit of money for this one today and he has course and distance winning form. He will also appreciate the better ground. There are 25 runners, so you must go each way. I respect Henry Higgins, who has been running against decent opposition and The Plan Man, who won on good ground at Listowel and may have needed the run last time out.

5.30 - Boylesports Champion Chase

This is a tricky puzzle to solve.  Champagne Fever is the best horse in the race, but he has a habit of mixing the sublime and the ordinary.  I believe he needs to dominate from the front, and being in midfield at Aintree didn't help his cause.  If Ruby Walsh can get Champagne Fever into a rhythm out in front, his jumping can put the race to bed.  I don't like Hidden Cyclone; for me he flatters to deceive.  Mallowney and Twinlight are decent horses, but may lack the class at his level.  Felix Yonger is a horse I respect; he's back to form, will like the ground and a strongly run 2 miles should suit.

6.05 - Goffs Land Rover Bumper

This flat race over 2 miles features a lot of newcomers, so be careful when parting with your hard earned. Interestingly, trained Gordon Elliott has never won this race, and his Petit Mouchoir comes with a big reputation from the point to point circuit. He is a tentative selection, with a mention for Art of Synergy, who ran well the last day. There has been money for Wingoldandwearit today.

6.40 - Growise Champion Novice Chase

Only 5 runners, and yet again, a Willie Mullins trained horse is odds on in the betting.  This time it's Don Poli, who should win if repeating the display which saw him come home in front in the RSA Chase at Cheltenham. With 1/4 the odds 2 places, I recommend backing the outsider, Irish Cavalier, each way at 33/1. Apache Stronghold and Valseur Lido have had long seasons, and I believe Irish Cavalier does have improvement in him going up in distance. He has class issues and a fall at Aintree to overcome, but it is factored into the price.

7.15 - JLT Flat Race

Another bumper, which means another guessing game. The JP McManus owned Startinfromscratch is closely related to the Champion Hurdle winner Rock On Ruby. He is a hopeful selection each way.  I have heard a good word for Moon Over Germany, but he may take time to fulfil his potential.
