The Louise Duffy Show asked listeners for their greatest MacGyver moments. The mulleted 80s action hero was an expert in getting out of tricky situations, turning two paper clips, a single juicy fruit and his underpants and creating a grenade launcher. We received this – quite possibly one of our greatest ever texts.

I once used a portion of chicken balls, placed strategically on barbed wire to avoid being ripped apart as I climbed over it in pitch darkness after (wrongly) deciding to take a not so short cut home after the pub!! Alan.

And it was the week of ‘All The Young Dudes’, an evening of music and comedy in Dublin’s Vicar Street in memory of the late great Tony Fenton. The night featured top names from the Irish music scene including Aslan, Something Happens, The Stunning, The Minutes, BellX1, Mundy, Wallis Bird, Mick Flannery, Jerry Fish, Gavin Glass and The Grand Parade, Mario Rosenstock and Dermot Whelan. All proceeds from the ‘All the Young Dudes’ will go to Today FM’s Shave or Dye or Oh My! in support of the Irish Cancer Society.
