Mother's Day sneaks up on us every damn year, and when it does we find ourselves in a state of blind panic over what to get the special woman in our lives.

With the day looming close, there'll be thousands of sons and daughters panicking right across the country, and that's not even including the husbands who will need to sort out the pressies on behalf of little children who are far too young to do it themselves.

If you've woken up this morning and found yourself in this situation - fear not!

We've created this handy list to save the day.

1) The Endless snooze

Remove all children from the house bright and early - keep them away for the entire morning. No loud noises, no awful kids TV playing in the background, no screaming or fighting. Just hours of endless bliss. Trust us, we asked a few mammies around the office and given the choice of hours of uninterrupted silence at the weekend or an expensive bit of makeup - they picked the silence.

2) Book a blow dry

When in doubt - give the gift of good hair. Most Irish Mammies rarely have time to wipe their noses, never mind spend hours blowdrying their hair into perfect loose waves. Hand her a gift card for the local hair salon and the next time she's heading out and wants to treat herself, all she has to do is make the call and perfect hair is all hers - you'll be collecting brownie points for this one for months.

3) Create the ultimate breakfast in bed

This can't be any aul eggs-slapped-on-toast deal, it needs to be the full monty. Rashers, sausages, pudding, eggs, tomato, toast slathered in butter and a massive glass of chilled Tropicana (bits or no bits is at the discretion of the server!). It must be served on a fancy tray, in bed, with a strong coffee and full access to Netflix. Bliss!

4) Move to the Music

Scour the internet for one of her favourite acts that will be coming to Ireland over the summer months and book tickets. Music is the best medicine! It will give her something to look forward to and no matter what age the Mammy in question is - there will be a gig to suit her at some stage over the coming months.

5) Book a fancy pants night away

This is an oldie but a goodie. Nothing beats packing the car with an overnight bag and getting away from it all for a night. You'll need to include a fabulous meal with the deal, but if you chose the right one it will leave her feeling like the Queen of the household she is.

Start off your Mother’s Day morning the right way with Tropicana. A Little Glass has a lot of what you need, with 150ml of Tropicana containing a whopping 60% of the recommended daily vitamin C intake and is one of the recommended 5 a day.
