There Was A Serious Shortage Of Women In Kerry Back In 1997

It might be known as The Kingdom but it seriously lacked any Queens twenty years ago. (Ummm not sure that sentence makes any sense...erm) Anywho, back in 1997 the RTE show Nationwide took a trip to Tralee to find out why there may have been roses once a year but nowhere to plant seed... (Oooooh, erm not sure that works)

Anyway, look there was no single women in Kerry simple as that.

The cameras went down to find out what was going on.

They spoke to some local Romeos:

Our favourite part is when the reporter goes to the local pub. The number one rule of any local news report is to make a trip to the local boozer. The Irish publican is the oracle of everything in a town and this guy is no exception. His name is John O'Regan and he's the landlord of Betty's in Tralee. Some gas man.

His reaction when asked about Kerry women deserting across the border to Cork is absolute gold!
