As if news was needed to further inflate the ego of Rock's humblest frontman.
According to a chart released today Guns N Roses crooner Axl Rose is the greatest singer of all time.
The chart compares the vocals ranges from the highest notes to the lowest of many of the biggest artists in pop and rock – and Axl beat nearest rivals Mariah Carey, Prince, Aerosmith's Steve Tyler and James Brown.
Here is an example of his incredible note holding ability. It’s a long sustain from the end of “Don’t Cry”
Count how long he hold it for before fainting:
Eminem and Lou Reed have the same vocal range, Kurt Cobain and Miley Cyrus having a greater range than Aretha Franklin! Lana Del Rey and Lorde being technically better singers than Whitney Houston and Adele in terms of their range.
