More than 1,300 bullets have been seized in Co. Tipperary.
The ammunition was recovered in Bishop’s Wood, Dundrum on Saturday.
The package, which had been wrapped in plastic, was found by a member of the public who alerted Gardai.
Gardaí attended the scene and carried out a full technical examination and extended searches in the area but nothing further was located.
It's believed the bullets were there for some time.
Over 1,300 bullets were seized and will now be sent for ballistic analysis.
No arrests have been made.
