An 18 year old woman who died in a single-car crash near Tipperary has been named as Bronagh English.
Gardaí say the incident happened after 10 o'clock last night at Kilmoyler, near Cahir, when her car left the road at Kilaldry bridge.
The vehicle entered the river Aherlow and the driver, who was 18 and travelling alone, died at the scene.
Her body was recovered from the water by the Garda sub aqua unit this morning and has been taken to a local mortuary where a post mortem will be carried out.
Gardaí say no other vehicle was involved and they're appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Officers particularly want to hear from anyone on the L3101 or was in the Kilmoyler area between 10 o'clock and midnight.
The road remains closed this morning and diversions are in place as a technical examination is carried out.
