The death toll has risen to 47, following a suicide bomb attack in Iraq.
The truck bomb went off at a busy checkpoint in the city of Hillah, 80 kilometres south of Baghdad.
Most of those killed were civilians, according to the AP news agency.
Social media posts from the scene showed the checkpoint was devastated by the blast.
