The Agriculture Minister has invited all sides in the beef dispute to talks later today.
Talks between beef farmers and meat processing plants were due to reconvene on Monday night.
However, Meat Industry Ireland - the body which represents the processing sectors in Ireland - pulled out of the talks that morning.
They withdrew as farmers continued to blockade 20 meat factories.
That led to 3,000 meat plant workers being temporarily let go from their positions yesterday.
