Almost Half Of Young People Feel Nobody Listens To Their Concerns About Climate Change

Almost half of young people feel nobody listens to their concerns about climate change.

A Youth Climate Justice Survey carried out by ECO-UNESCO shows 60% also say they've been personally impacted by climate change.

97% of young people are concerned about the warming planet.

When asked what is the biggest issue in tackling climate change the responses pointed towards big businesses and corporations.

Elaine Nevin who is National Director of ECO-UNESCO said "it’s concerning to see that eco-anxiety is growing and how so many young people are feeling anxious and fearful over climate change."

She also said that young people are willing to help but "the survey found "that 32% of young people felt they did not have the skills to fight climate change".
