Blindboy Boatclub of the Rubberbandits may one day consider a run for the Dail. Thanks to his repeated doses of political naval gazing for his weekly General Election slot on the Anton Savage Show, he told Anton this morning that a whilst a move into politics might be surreal for him, it can't be as surreal as some of the election 'propaganda' that Irish politicians are using this year.
However, before you rush off to a bookies, Blindboy's move into politics may have to depend on the establishment of a Department for Silliness.
The Rubberbandit says the General Election campaign has yet to truly heat up, but there are some things livening it up, namely election gimmicks like these:
