US department store Bloomingdales has apologised for an advertisement in its Christmas catalog that appears to make light of date rape.
The ad features a well dressed man and woman - the man is looking at the woman who is laughing and doesn't appear to notice him.
It's accompanied with the text 'Spike your best friend's eggnog when they're not looking'.
The ad has been widely criticised online prompting the department store to apologise saying they now realise it was inappropriate and in bad taste.
