Brazil's Supreme Court has rejected a motion to block the impeachment of the country's President.

President Dilma Rousseff, has been accused of masking budget problems by shifting around government accounts.

The pro-impeachment camp needs two-thirds of votes in the lower house to send the proceedings to the Senate for a possible trial.

News agency AP claims Rousseff will be forced to step down if that happens.
