Boris Johnson has told the Taoiseach that the Common Travel Area between Britain and Ireland, would not be affected by the ending of freedom of movement after Brexit.

Mr. Johnson made the remarks in an hour-long phone call with Leo Varadkar this evening.

It's the second time they have spoken since Mr. Johnson entered Downing Street.

Both also re-iterated their positions on the Withdrawal Agreement and said their teams would maintain close contact over the coming weeks.

It was also announced that both leaders will meet in Dublin next month.
