Chorley FC In Talks To Get Boyzone Members As 'Face Of The Club'

Chorley FC is “bursting with excitement” over a potential partnership with Boyzone.

The non-league English football side is currently in talks with the pop group to become shareholders and the new "face of the club".

Ronan Keating, Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy will attend one of their games this Saturday at Chorley Group Victory Park, along with former Westlife member Brian McFadden.

The pop stars could be joining a long list of celebrities to invest in football teams in recent years, including actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenny's high-profile buyout of Wrexham FC in 2020.

In a statement, Chorley FC said they were grateful for Boyzone's interest.

“We are bursting with excitement and gratitude for this incredible opportunity,” they said.

“This collaboration with Boyzone is part of ongoing discussions that could potentially see them becoming the face of the football club.

“Boyzone's presence at the game will undoubtedly create an electric atmosphere, filled with music, joy, and a shared love for football and a close-knit, family community.”

The pop group, which was formed by Louis Walsh in 1993, last performed together in 2019.
