Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell has been cremated in a private ceremony in Los Angeles ahead of his funeral.

He was found dead at the MGM Grand hotel in Detroit on Thursday.

Four people attended the service - including his widow Vicky.

She thinks the star may have taken a higher dose of an anti-anxiety drug than he was prescribed before taking his own life.
