Conor McGregor Criticised In Court For Agreeing To Fight With Case Pending

Conor McGregor has been criticised in the High Court for agreeing to an MMA fight, when he has a court case pending.

A woman is taking a civil case against the fighter for an alleged assault in 2018 - he denies all claims of wrongdoing.

Conor McGregor wasn’t in the Hight Court for this hearing this morning.

His barrister explained to the Judge that he was an MMA fighter, with the Judge replying, "I know all about him - no point pretending I don’t know who the Beatles are".

The court heard Conor McGregor has a fight on the 29th of June and he may sustain and carry some injuries so his barrister asked for the case to be adjourned until November.

But the barrister representing the woman wanted the case to begin in July, saying the case is dragging and causing a great deal of distress - noting there’s a great deal of media attention on the case and the sooner it’s over the better.

He said it’s not fair that Conor McGregor has the luxury of choosing a boxing match and kicking their case down the line.

The case, which is set to last two weeks, has now been deferred until the 5th of November.
