Cork South Central is considered one of the toughest constituencies in the country, with five sitting TDs and several other candidates running for election.
The constituency is moving from a five to a four-seater, meaning one TD will lose his seat.
Fine GaelÂ’'s Simon Coveney and Jerry Buttimer, Fianna Fáil'Â’s Micheál Martin and Michael McGrath and Labour'Â’s Ciarán Lynch will be hoping to retain theirs.
Our reporter Juliette Gash joined another hopeful, Sinn Fein Councillor Donnchadh Ó'Â’Laoghaire on a canvass in his native Togher;
Donnchadh was supported by many local Sinn Fein members, as well as the party's cumann in UCC.
