Unions representing Dublin Bus drivers say they'Â’re hopeful of a pay increase to bring their members'Â’ pay in line with that of Luas drivers.
Tram drivers recently secured a pay increase of around 18 percent, – meaning they'’ll be paid almost one third more than bus drivers in the capital.
Unions met with management at the Labour Court this afternoon, seeking a 30 percent hike for their members.
Both sides have been asked to return next week.
NBRU General Secretary is Dermot O'Â’Leary;
In a statement, Dublin Bus said;
"We are still involved in the process of the Court following both sides making their submissions today. The Court has requested information in relation to pay rates for all grades in Dublin Bus."
