Gardai in Dublin have launched an investigation into the unexplained death of a baby and also the discovery of a woman's body.
The body of a woman was found on the Lower Road, Strawberry Beds, Lucan this morning.
Her body was found shortly after a pedestrian was seen acting suspiciously at the M50 toll plaza bridge.
Following this discovery, Gardai went to a house in Lucan where a baby boy was found in an unresponsive condition.

It's understood the woman found dead was the infant's mother and was in her 30's.
The results of post-mortem examinations will determine the course of Garda investigations.
However, at this stage Gardaí are treating these incidents as a Family tragedy and are not currently seeking anyone else in connection with the deaths.
