Gardai are appealing for witnesses after an 80-year-old man was killed in a collision in County Kilkenny yesterday.
The crash happened at around 4:30pm when two cars collided on the N77 Kilkenny-Ballyragget Road at Suttonsrath in Jenkinstown.
An 80 year old man, the driver and sole occupant of one of the cars, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at scene.
The driver of the second car, a 59-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Waterford University Hospital where his condition is described as stable.
This morning Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to contact them at Kilkenny Garda Station.
