Excavation At Tuam Baby Home Site To Start Next Week
Works to allow for the excavation of a burial site at the former mother-and-baby institution in Tuam will start on Monday.
It's part of a long-running campaign to identify the remains of hundreds of children believed to be buried on the land in County Galway.
The initial four weeks of the process will involve setting up the site, with the excavation expected to be very complex.
The work is expected to take around two years to complete.

Amateur historian Catherine Corless' research more than 10 years ago brought the world's attention to the mass grave of children in Tuam.
The Bon Secour Mother and Baby institution operated in Tuam between 1925 and 1961.
