Three people have been taken to hospital following a shooting in County Clare.
A home in the Dún Na Hinse area of Ennis was shot at this morning at around 7 o'clock.
A man in his 50s is being treated in University Hospital Limerick for non-life threatening injuries, while two others were taken to hospital as a pre-caution.
No arrests have been made and the house has been sealed off for a technical examination.
A garda spokesperson says, 'Gardaí are investigating the discharge of a firearm at a residential premises in Ennis Co. Clare, this morning, Friday 24th July 2026.
'The incident occurred just after 7am at a house in the Dún Na Hinse area. A male aged in his 50s was taken from the scene to University Hospital Limerick be treated for injuries believed to be non-life threatening. Two other persons that were present in the house were taken to University Hospital Limerick as a precautionary measure.
'A scene is currently held for technical examination.
'No arrests have been made at this time and enquiries are ongoing.'
