The Fianna Fáil leader says he spoke to Enda Kenny today, as efforts continue to form a coalition Government.

During a 20 minute phone call, Micheal Martin says he objected to a suggestion in one newspaper this morning, that a vote on the Taoiseach could be cancelled next Wednesday.

The party leaders also discussed their engagement in talks with Independents - and agreed there would be further contact between them after next weeks vote.

Mr Kenny's understood to have told Independents in discussions this afternoon that he offered to meet Mr Martin tomorrow.
