Fianna Fáil has agreed to reconvene talks with Fine Gael on the formation of a minority Government.
The party announced earlier that it has abandoned its efforts for Micheál Martin to become Taoiseach.
It follows the third defeat for the leader and for Fine Gael's Enda Kenny in the Dáil this afternoon.
The Acting Taoiseach says talks must now take on a "sense of urgency".
