The world is about to go green again for St Patrick's day.

Some of the new venues to light up in our national colour this year include the World Trade Centre at Ground Zero in New York and the Boston Red Sox home, Fenway Park.

The Red Sox team will also wear green jerseys on March 17th for their spring training game in Florida.

Tourism Ireland's Niall Gibbons says they they'll join the leaning tower of Pisa, The Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro and the Sacre-Coeur Basilica in Paris which have been part of the global greening initiative now for many years.
