Government Approves Plans To Criminalise Revenge Porn

The government's approved plans to criminalise revenge porn.

These are intimate images of women which are shared online without their permission.

At a cabinet meeting Ministers gave permission to draft changes to a bill brought by Labour's Brendan Howlin.

It would make revenge porn, upskirting and stalking specific criminal offences.

12% of women and girls sat theyv'e been the victim of stalking.

SAFE Ireland has said on social media "this is certainly welcome legislation and we hope that it is passed without delay."
