A new group is calling for a No vote in the referendum on same-sex marriage, to protect the rights of children.
The 'Mothers & Fathers Matter' group says a child's right to a mother and father would be undermined if the referendum is passed.
The claim is rejected by a group calling for a Yes vote, which says the question of children and paternal rights is dealt with under separate laws which are already in place.
But the Mothers & Fathers Matter says the referendum would still copperfasten its provisions, and leave the state unable to recognise the unique role of mothers and fathers in raising children.
