Iarnrod Eireann says it will impose Labour Court approved pay cuts on staff if talks with unions fail to secure agreement.
The unions SIPTU and the NBRU have voted to reject the cost saving plan - which was accepted by the three other unions at Iarnrod Eireann.
Management has called for a week of intensive negotiations with the unions that have rejected the deal.
The senior management team has agreed to implement immediate cuts to their own pay as recommended by the Labour Court.
Should the week of talks fail, the CEO David Franks says Iarnrod Eireann will impose the recommended pay cuts on staff.
