Prices in Ireland are estimated to have by 9.5% in the year to October.
That compares to 8.6% in the 12 months to September, according to figures from Eurostat.
They are an estimate of price increases across the European Union and the Eurozone.
Ireland's official inflation rate will be confirmed by the Central Statistics Office in the coming weeks.
Energy prices are estimated to have increased by 13.6% in the month and are up by 47.6% since October 2021
