An Irish man has died after being stabbed at a restaurant in Sydney Australia.
It's understood the man was from Dublin and had been living and working in Australia for a number of years.
At around half past nine last night an Irish man in his fifties was having dinner with a woman at a restaurant in at a shipping centre in Hornsby when a man approached them and stabbed him

The woman who was with him was also injured and was taken to hosptial
The man has been named localy as 53 year old Keith Collins originally from Dublin
A man - in his forties - has been arrested and was taken to Hornsby Police Station.
He later appeared in court charged with murder and attempted murder
No application for bail was made and he was remanded to appear in court again in May
The Department of Foreign Affairs says it has received no request for consular assistance in the case.
