Jack and Grace were the most popular babies names last year.
Data published by the CSO, shows Jack was the top boys' name for the seventh year in a row.
Emily has dropped to the third place for girls' names, after being number one in 2022.
50 years ago, John and Mary were the most popular baby names in 1972.
Statistician with the CSO, Sean O'Connor, says popular culture can influence the popularity of certain names.
"Cillian has been consistently popular over the last number of years. It ranked 9th in 2023 and has stayed in that position, I think since 2021.
"And it's actually increased quite a lot in popularity since, the 1970s when Cillian Murphy was born, when I think it was around the 200 mark in terms of popularity in the rankings".
