The new Justice Minister is praising emergency services for their swift response to a series of knife attacks in Dublin yesterday.
Three men were hurt - two of them seriously - after being stabbed in broad daylight in Stoneybatter.
A man in his 20s was arrested and is being questioned by Gardaí.
Armed Support Units were among the Gardaí who rushed to Oxmantown Road at around 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon, with three separate scenes sealed off.

Justice Minister Jim O'Callaghan says it could have been a lot worse. " We could have been talking about fatalities or more significant injuries to greater numbers of people and the reason we're not is because the Gardaí arrived on the scene so quickly".
Minister O'Callaghan especially commended the unarmed Gardaí who apprehended the individual causing the carnage.
He's also revealed the man being questioned about the attacks was not known to Gardaí.
