Katie Taylor is out of the Olympics.

The London gold medallist lost on a split decision against Finland's Mira Potkonen in their Lightweight quarter-final bout.

The fighters were level on score cards but the judges then awarded the match to Potkonen.

Speaking afterwards a devastated Katie said the loss was very disappointing after a very very tough year.
