Taoiseach Leo Varadkar will meet British Prime Minister Boris Johnson in Dublin this morning.
Boris Johnson will land in Dublin this morning after a bruising week - the most recent blow coming after a member of his cabinet, Amber Rudd, resigned yesterday claiming there's no plan.
Mr Johnson's next conversation is with Leo Varadkar - who's played down chances that the meeting may lead to a Brexit breakthrough, but says he hopes some common ground can be found.
The Taoiseach has also said he'd be open to the idea of a backstop just for Northern Ireland as a potential solution.
They're due to meet around 9 o'clock in what's something of a flying visit before Mr Johnson returns to the UK to seek a second vote on a snap election.
There is a theory in some government circles that this is something of a show visit, so Boris Johnson can say during an election campaign he tried to negotiate and get a deal - even though he has no intention of doing that.
